The Department of Clinical Operations plays a critical role in overseeing the medical functions and clinical operations of an organization.
The role of this department includes providing administrative oversight to the entire clinical operations team, thus ensuring that the department runs efficiently and effectively.
The Clinical Director Department works alongside the board, CEO, and business development, to develop a shared vision, mission, and strategic plan, and further, to ensure its alignment across the organization.
In addition, this department collaborates closely with the Quality Improvement and Control department and other relevant sections to create and implement policies and processes aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Maritime Services (ongoing project)
The maritime services department oversees the operations of boat ambulances and as such is responsible for setting standards for the evacuation, logistics and medical requirements, and monitoring the day-to-day operations in keeping with the aforementioned standards.
As a pioneer in the field of maritime medical services, this department would help set the national standard of care for maritime medical services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Maritime Services Department has the additional role of coordinating with the EMS Operations Manager for further assistance and ground support. This includes managing on-duty maritime paramedics and setting their schedules as required. The department also secures and maintains the necessary licenses for practice within the maritime sector. In addition, it provides training for medical evacuations and is actively involved in evacuation training and consultation. Another key function of the department is to offer consultation regarding maritime safety and related medical events and projects.

Logistics
Within the department, the logistics unit plays a vital role of integrating the dispatch system with the maritime command center. This role also includes providing and maintaining a list of necessary equipment, working closely with the supply chain to ensure that every marine station is properly equipped.

Operations
The operation unit assists with consultations for projects and maritime institutes, oversees maintenance issues, and may later become involved in Helicopter EMS operations through comprehensive integration methods.

Evacuation Medical Personnel
The unit aims to perform duties similar to paramedics, in addition to undergoing additional training in STCW courses and maritime evacuation courses to ensure that they are fully equipped for their specialized roles in maritime operations.

The Medical Management section plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of medical education and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Health Education
This section is responsible for providing education and training to the paramedics and physicians based on best practices under the guidance of a medical education specialist. This entails developing courses and presentations tailored to the appropriate audience, as well as providing recommendations for internal training.
Additionally, this section works closely with the Maritime Services Department to develop and audit medical evacuation courses, ensuring that they meet the necessary standards. Furthermore, the department collaborates with the marketing team to provide medical information for marketing purposes and recommends updates to EMS clinical protocols. This section may also coordinate with EMTC in order to commercialize Team 1 courses.

Patient Experience
This section works closely with the quality department to assess, create, and implement policies aimed at improving patient experience. By analyzing both qualitative and quantitative patient report data, it identifies gaps or areas needing improvement in patient experiences. It is also tasked with observing and auditing cases and medical reports chosen at random, to assess the interactions and standard of communication between the EMS staff, physicians, and patients. Furthermore, the section collaborates with the logistics team to ensure that equipment, ambulances, and medications used are safe and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

Medication Control
This unit is responsible for the overseeing all matters relating to medication. It works closely with the Medical Store in order to itemize, recommend storage environment criterion, and ensure that the proper forms are utilized for prescription medications and narcotics. In addition, this unit is tasked with performing analyses for medication economy, co-authoring clinical policies related to medications (indications, contra indications and so on), advocating for drug and medication safety. This unit is the responsible entity for all narcotics and the policies surrounding it.

This department plays a vital role in overseeing medical treatment through medical report review and signing, directing treatment as needed, prescribing medications as appropriate and supporting the field teams on cases requiring physician intervention.

The Disaster Management unit is responsible for coordinating responses to public health emergencies and ensuring preparedness for various disaster scenarios.
